Tim Nash has written four books on women’s soccer. He co-authored three – Training Soccer Champions, by Anson Dorrance; Standing Fast, by Michelle Akers; and The Champion Within, by Lauren Gregg. Tim recently published It’s Not the Glory, the Remarkable First Thirty Years of U.S. Women’s Soccer.
Tim spent 17 years covering
soccer in the United States. He covered the 1996 Olympics, 1999 Women’s World
Cup, the 2000 Olympics and the 2003 Women’s World Cup. He served as Senior
Editor of internetsoccer.com, collegesoccer.com, womenssoccer.com, and provided
content for six WUSA teams as well as WUSA.com. He also published Soccer News,
a national soccer monthly. He has covered 17 Women’s College Cups and 13 Men’s
College Cups. His soccer articles have appeared in several major newspapers,
including USA Today, the Detroit Free Press, San Jose Mercury News, the Raleigh
News & Observer, the Memphis Commercial Appeal, and the Greensboro News
& Record, as well as the NSCAA Journal, Soccer Jr., and Southern Living.
Today, Tim is a freelance
writer living in Graham, N.C., with his wife Cheri, daughter Allison and son
Ian. He has coached girls’ soccer teams from U12 to U18 and is currently
